Empower Through SUUYT Job Assistance Program (JAP)
SUUYT has been actively collaborating with various organizations and the community, providing extensive assistance to shelter recipients across the state of Massachusetts. Our services encompass mental health support, interpreting, benefits assistance, and more. As part of our core values, promoting independence is paramount. Many shelter recipients have recently obtained their work permit authorization through the USCIS Work Permit Authorization Clinic in November and December 2023, further fueling the demand for job opportunities.
Why JAP?
In response to the growing need for employment, SUUYT is implementing the Job Assistance Program (JAP). This initiative aims to facilitate the completion of the Homemaker and Personal Homemaker certificate program offered by the state of Massachusetts, aligning with our commitment to empowering individuals on their journey towards independence. Our program includes:
1- Free Registration Assistance:
All participants receive free online assistance to Personal and Home Care Aide State Training (PHCAST) courses.
2- 10 Hours of Hands-On Training:
Mandatory hands-on training by qualified professionals complements program completion.
3- Job Opportunities Assistance:
Beyond training, SUUYT commits to assisting in securing meaningful job opportunities.
Community Impact:
SUUYT has already conducted two successful meetings in Stoughton, MA, and Rockland, MA. But we're not stopping there! We are planning to expand our program to reach more shelter recipients across Massachusetts, creating a ripple effect of positive change.
